POLLY DEAN

5 years ago a film was shown, one that we currently screen for events, and I was mortified that sex trafficking was even an issue right here in the United States. I immediately became involved with local ministries and traveled to Bangkok and Cambodia to study the issue. Upon returning I felt helpless at the magnitude of the issue that lie before me, but knew something still had to be done. Ashley and I became engrained in the issue in a local context and the passion came to spread the message about sex trafficking right here in the Midwest, and how to work together to start a plan for prevention.

I am Mom to 3 kids who keep me sane with soccer practices, field trips, chorus concerts, and any outdoor activity we can get our hands on. I am also lucky enough to be married to the man of my dreams who just happens to believe in every crazy dream of mine and has always been my biggest supporter.

8 Years ago, a trip to bangkok thailand changed my life forever. My heart was broken for thOSE trapped in this horrific epidemic sweeping the country. The level of exploitation paired with the overall lack of awareness created a drive deep within my soul that would have me on a journey navigating what Trafficking looks like here in our home state. I always say I left half my heart in Bangkok, but we certainly do not need to go overseas to be face to face with such injustice.

In addition to being an advocate, I am a full-time photographer, Wife to an incredibly supportive husband and Momma of two sweet little boys.

While My life is greater than i can even believe at times, the call on our lives as the new colossus isn't always easy. We believe in our mission and we continue to wake up and fight even when we are weary. We are so thankful for our supporters and beyond impressed by how our community is coming together to stand as a movement of people fighting to reclaim human worth.
